One of my favorite Chinese restaurant in the west end of GTA. We have been there many times with family and friends and tried different dishes. Most of them are pretty good and no less quality than my favorites restaurants in Beijing. Quality is good and quantity is more than other Chinese restaurants. Price is reasonable. Service can be improved though. Spoke to the team lead while we were there last week and she was very happy to here about my comments and concerns. Highly recommended!

It reminded me of eating in Beijing! We visited about 5 years ago and the food was so interesting there. Foodie North had some of our favourite dishes from Beijing cuisine - such as hand pulled noodles, and the sauteed shredded potato dish. The sauteed shrimp was terrific but the soup dumplings were boring and a little tasteless. Service was OK, but would probably be better if it wasn't such a busy night. Cute place with a pagoda theme going on. Even our pickiest eaters, the kids, enjoyed their meals.

My mom and I had a very bad experience today the waitress was so un professional and very disrespectful and very poor service we went inside and ask her can we dine in here she said it was only for takeout. So we went outside and saw the tables and no chairs to sit. So we waited more then 10 minutes for her to come out give us the menu and serve us she was talking so much a customer that she knew and didn't even come out to us .Then we went back inside and ask for the menu and no one was there just the 2 of them and the cook. She try apologized but she gave us a really bad attitude especially to my mom because she ask the waitress can we have a big table on side of the wall then she said it's too big it's too big. That got my mom so upset. The waitress finally gave us the menu we look at it not even for 5 minutes so we left and took our business elsewhere. You guys should teach ur employees how to be respectful professional and organized.

Northern Chinese cuisine with authenticity. Freshly made noodles and dumplings, excellent Beijing duck, lobster, seafood dishes using spices from the region. Some dishes are pricey and with lots of flavour of Szechuan. Dessert made from yam and blueberry and peach jam.

Good food and always packed. Their spicy dishes are good too. Come early to avoid line ups and running out of certain dim sum dishes.

I found this place to be a bit too pricey for what it is. Most of the dishes tasted very similar, spicy beef dish was way too spicy, but the duck was really good and lotus root was amazing. Dim sum was ok, sweet chicken was really good. Service was ok, place seems to be clean and quite as we ate early lunch.

Loved the traditional Chinese decor in the restaurant. The restaurant is very spacious and comfortable. The food came quickly and it was delicious but very spicy!! They have a variety of bubble tea including some fresh mango shakes. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody who's craving for spicy Chinese food.

Came here because of the free duck special. Wish I didn't. The food is very bland... and pricier than regular Chinese restaurants. The high price will just eat up and savings.Reason for low rating, besides food, is the service. I asked 3 different waiters for a glass of water, because they give tea, however I can't drink black tea at night due to the caffeine... I had to ask 3 different servers to bring me a glass of water. The first 2 just said sure and disappeared into the abyss, never to be seen or heard from again. Mississauga and Toronto have great Chinese food to try... this place isn't it.

2nd visit, if you know Chinese, you can get by quite well. The restaurant specializes in Northern Chinese cuisine. Quite spicy, cumin, chili specialties. Lamb and Beef and chicken. Quite loud environment. Come prepared to yell, if you want to catch attention of the servers or even talk to your friends at the table. Enjoyed my visit. 1st visit: Food was great. But the waitress tricked us into getting a $28.99 dish that we didn't really want. Secondly, they put us on table at bubble tea place where all tables next to us were empty and had dirty dishes lying throughout our stay. The ambience felt horrible. Food was certainly the only highlight of the restaurant.

Food is super tasty and unique. Love the atmosphere! The aesthetics and pieces are thoughtfully selected to reflect Chinese culture, I really appreciated that effort. Great service, very friendly staff. And I thought it was very smart putting a bubble tea shop in the restaurant with quick meals to draw in the younger clients from the high schools around! Really enjoy my time there every time.

I have to change the stars to two after I visited there a second time. 赛螃蟹(sai pang xie)is flavorless and super expensive given the ingredients of the dish (i.e. egg, tofu and broccoli); the beef rolls are like cold sandwiches and NOT the same as the pictures appeared in the menu AT ALL (yet the waitress insisted it was the same). A dishonest restaurant.-------I love the place. The portion of food is surprisingly big. The sheep giblet soup (羊杂汤)is as delicious and authentic as those in China. The other food are delicious as well. The only defect is the service. The waitors lack hospitality and food service is slow.

Overall very positive experience. Food was delicious, and came out very quick. We had a snow pea shoot and mushroom dish where some of the mushrooms tasted a bit off/sour, but everything else was good! We got Peking duck, duck soup, lamb with cumin spices, steamed bun with a sticky rice and pork filling and a beef pancake and chive roll. The decor was nice and the restaurant including the washroom were quite clean.

Awesome and authentic Chinese restaurant with great menu options. Our family has been member of this restaurant for years. We come here once or twice a month and we live about 30 km from here(Burlington). We also hosted 12 ppl family gathering here as well. Unique Chinese decor and furnitures, you can watch the pastry chefs making Bao, dumplings, and pancakes in the kitchen, through the big glass windows. On the menu, you have a plenty of options. My son loves the 羊肉泡馍 (lamb soup with pita bread), 北京烤鸭(Peking duck) is also pretty good, then 夫妻肺片(Sliced Beef and Ox Tongue in Chilli Sauce), 毛血旺(@4$37;!?3) if you like spicy food. You won’t find dim sum at this place, but you get the authentic northern and Sichuan style Chinese cooking. Great service as well. Tina who we see every time is very helpful and welcoming. Top notch dinning experience. If you haven’t tried this place I highly recommend it !

Absolutely delicious food with great ambience. We didn’t experience any of the terrible service mentioned by other reviewers, service was quite standard for Chinese restaurants: waiters are professional and efficient, not chatty (which I appreciate). The restaurant is nice and clean with very unique decor. The menu was packed with variety although the 北京烤鸭 was less than standard. It came with a soup (?) which I thought was very strange since almost all other restaurants use the rest of the duck for another dish. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here and will be coming back!

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Mississauga, hands down. Its a bit pricey because it offers big portions and quality food. The interior decorations are very aesthetic and fitting because it resembles a lot like being back in China. It also serves bubble tea which is pretty good. My only complain is that there are some tables which have wooden chairs. The wooden chairs are a bit hard, and it makes it very uncomfortable. But then again that's what China uses. Also, the front of house service definitely has room for improvement but it's not that big of a deal.

The food is not exactly impressive but unlike other Chinese restaurants there isn't an overuse of MSG, and the food isn't very salty to my liking. Portions are not big neither. The decoration is very pleasant and red wood table gives a feeling of prestige. Dining hall has plenty of space, it is unique and worth checking out. However do not expect excellent service from waiter/waitresses, they will seat you and pretty much leave you alone sitting there until you want to pay the bill. No one will ever, come and ask you how the meals are going. Don't feel offended by the above point since this is pretty much what all Chinese restaurants are like. The buy one get one free Peking duck is in fact a coupon to be used for next visit when you spend 60 dollars and more before tax. I probably will not return again just to use the coupon.

It’s hit or miss. I have had great food and service on done occasions and bad food and service at other times. The last time I went with family and ordered the lamb with cumin dish. The dish was too salty no one at the table could eat it. We informed the waitress and asked could we order it without the salt. She took it back to the kitchen and then returned 10 min later to state they it was from a prepared sauce and it could not be served or prepared any other way. Disappointed we asked for the order to be canceled. We were not asked if we wanted to substitute for another dish, the waitress just walked away. When the check arrived we were charged for the lamb and cumin dish and to remind the server that it should have been deleted.

The only restaurant I wanna go for north Chinese food in Mississauga. Most of their food are very tasty, large portion but also expensive. They give the member cheaper price, but u have to deposit money in their member card. I do not feel well of this marketing strategy but I still strongly recommend their food if u have enough budget.

I love the interior. When I first visited, I was genuinely impressed(even if the chairs are uncomfortable). You can actually watch the chef make the noodles if you want to, it entertained the kids for a whike. The service, similar to many Asian places, is mediocre. The prices are on a higher end. They specialize in Northern Chinese cuisine and do have a lot of choices on the menu with quite a few rare dishes. They also have a bubble tea/fast food bar on the other side of the restaurant for people who just want to grab a quick eat. As for the taste, it's pretty much a hit or miss, hence the 3 stars. Some times you get a great dish(like the noodles) and other time, not so much. Taking the high price into consideration, I am not sure I want to keep gambling.

Good wasn't bad. Had to wait for service when it came to ordering and when it came to paying. Bubble tea was tasty, ribs were different. Never had a dry rub that tasted like this but was really good. Everything was flavourful comes to think of it. Just missing that one aspect. Oh and the food menu has a lot of pictures just not in a very organized fashion. Still a nice bonus to see what you could be possible ordering.Only gripe really was service. But, if not in a rush or you can communicate easily with waiting staff then it's spot on.

We've been here many times now, after a friend recommended this place to us. The service has always been good, so I don't really understand the negative reviews here about their service...and we don't speak a word of Chinese. Maybe the food is on the pricier side, but the quality and large portions make up for it. Their menu is interesting and unique. The only thing to note is that if you're in a wheelchair, it would be hard to access their washrooms...other than that, this place is perfect.

What to try? It's their one year anniversary so you can buy one get one free of their Peking duck. It comes with the duck soup and a platter of condiments to add to your Peking duck slices. I also tried their dumplings but I thought it was alright. I wouldn't say I was overly wowed with their food here. I do like their ambiance though. The place feels spacious, the decor looks amazing in here because all the furniture came from China and it's the red wood that looks really nice. On the ceiling there's four paintings that act as the lights and even the washrooms look nice. If you want, I can tell you to come here to just check out the place because it is indeed a pretty unique Chinese restaurant haha. Last tip?If you're a frequent diner at this restaurant, I'd recommend you to get their membership then. You get a member preferred rate for all the dishes and sometimes you get additional promotions that regulars don't get! But the card will cost you $30...cash!

I was originally brought here by a family member and was surprised at how large it looked on the inside. Totally unrelated but it definitely does seat larger parties which is great! It was quite busy which was fair since we came on a weekend evening but it wasn’t too unbearable. The menu consisted of typical Chinese dishes as well as other tasty-sounding ones. We mainly came for the pecking duck and it was delicious! The portion was more than enough to feed my table of 6 which we were really happy about. Soup dumplings were pretty okay. They were kinda doughy but still yummy nonetheless! Would love to come back again!

Solid Chinese food. We live 17-20 mins away but it's worth the drive.Last meal was amazing. Two orders of pork dumplings with soup (Xiao long bao), one order of pork belly with bao (sweet buns, which you then turn into "wraps"), and one order of stretch noodles with soy bean paste. It was the perfect amount of food for our small family of four with two young kids. Haven't found better Chinese in the area, and if you live in East Oakville like us, it's worth the drive.
